After BDA Upgrade DataNodes and NodeManagers are Down on Several Non-Critical Nodes When CentrifyDC is in Use (Doc ID 2275717.1)

Symptoms

After BDA upgrade DataNodes(DN) and NodeManagers(NM) are found to be down on several non-critical nodes in environments using CentrifyDC.

1. The following alert is raised on the nodes:

The Cloudera Manager Agent is not able to communicate with this role's web server.

2. The /var/log/cloudera-scm-agent.log shows the agent is not able to monitor the web roles for DN/NM roles. The log reports:

HTTPError: HTTP Error 401: Authentication required
