- Function Based Index on SUBSTR not used when cursor_sharing=force (cursor_sharing=EXACT setting makes the optimizer choose the index):
Max_string_size=extended was added.
Old function based indexes cannot be created after upgrade to max_string_size=extended because of ORA-1450 <Document 136158.1>. So indexes must be created on substring (substr(<fnc>,1,n)).
