Symptoms

 While applying Windows Bundle 12.1.0.2.170531 Patch 25872779 or later ,the following messages are shown –

Verifying the update…
“Found msvcrt.dll in Oracle_Home\BIN.”
“Deleting Oracle_Home\BIN\msvcrt.dll, as the OS loads msvcrt.dll from C:\WINDOWS\System32\ directory.”
Patch 25872779 successfully applied
Log file location: C:\app\client\oracle\product\12.1.0\client_1\cfgtoollogs\opatch\25872779_Jul_09_2017_20_14_02\apply2017-07-09_20-14-02PM_1.log

OPatch succeeded.

 Applying subsequent newer Patches,displays the following messages-

Verifying the update…
“file not found in OH\BIN as well.”
Patch 26161724 successfully applied
Log file location: C:\app\client\oracle\product\12.1.0\client_1\cfgtoollogs\opatch\26161724_Jul_09_2017_20_19_02\apply2017-07-09_20-19-02PM_1.log

Patching component oracle.ldap.security.osdt, 12.1.0.2.0…
RollbackSession removing interim patch ‘26161724’ from inventory
“file not found in OH\BIN as well.”
Log file location: C:\app\client\oracle\product\12.1.0\client_1\cfgtoollogs\opat
ch\26161724_Jul_09_2017_20_23_32\rollback2017-07-09_20-23-31PM_1.log

OPatch succeeded.

 The Patches display in the lsinventory output.These messages are not documented in the Patch READMEs.
