Last updated on MARCH 09, 2020

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 4.9.0 and later
Linux x86-64

Purpose

In order to setup SSSD on the BDA it is necessary to establish an Active Directory (AD) User that can add/remove Computers and an Organizational Unit (OU) where the user can add/remove those computers. This can be the default (OU=Computers) or any other OU.

This note provides an example AD User and OU setup which follows the required guidelines for BDA SSSD setup. The steps here offer an example. You will need to follow the steps applicable to your specific AD environment.
