MEB Prerequisites Page On Workbench Throws "Unable to check backup account. Creation of connection settings file failed." (Doc ID 2293490.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.


An attempt to schedule backup for a Linux host running MySQL server from MySQL Workbench installed on a Windows host via the "Standard TCP/IP over SSH" connection is performed.

General prerequisites for the usage of Enterprise Backup functionality in MySQL Workbench are described in MySQL User's Manual: MySQL Enterprise Backup Interface General Requirements.

MEB Prerequisites page will request the following details:

1. Path to MEB Executable
2. Backup Home Directory
3. MySQL Account for Backup Process

Once the above details have been completed, an attempt to proceed with saving these details will result in error message:



SFTP subsystem has been disabled as part of server hardening in SUSE Linux.
