Fast Path Index Maintenance reports with ORA-00600 [kkpoixfp-fragobjd] Errors (Doc ID 2296358.1)

Symptoms

The alert log and the incident trace file report the following error:

Errors in file /usr01/oracle/diag/rdbms/oemprd/OEMPRD/trace/OEMPRD_j001_25668.trc (incident=280508):
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kkpoixfp-fragobjd], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []
Incident details in: /usr01/oracle/diag/rdbms/oemprd/OEMPRD/incident/incdir_280508/OEMPRD_j001_25668_i280508.trc

There may or may not be a failing SQL in the incident trace file

ALTER TABLE SYSMAN.EM_TRACE_DEBUG DROP PARTITION "2017-07-15 00:00" UPDATE GLOBAL INDEXES

The failing functions and the call stack in the trace file shows functions like:
