12.2 PDB Creation Using DBCA Failing with Error [FATAL] [DBT-11502] The instance <instance name> is not running on the local node (Doc ID 2296555.1)

Pluggable database creation using dbca is failing with below error.


 $ORACLE_HOME/bin/dbca '-silent' '-createPluggableDatabase' '-createUserTableSpace' 'true' '-sourceDB' '<dbname>' '-pdbName' '<PDBname>' '-createPDBFrom' 'DEFAULT' '-pdbDataFileDestination' '+DATADG1' '-pdbAdminPassword' 'xxx' '-pdbAdminUserName' '<pdbadmin>'
[FATAL] [DBT-11502] The instance (<instancename>) is not running on the local node.

CAUSE: A locally running instance is required to perform the selected operation.
ACTION: Specify a locally running database, or execute DBCA on a node where the database instance is running.
[FATAL] [DBT-11508] The selected database is not a Container database.
CAUSE: PDB operations can be performed only on a Container database.


From the srvctl output, we could see the database <dbname> is up and running.

oracle@testrac1 ~]$ srvctl config database -d <dbname>

Oracle user: oracle
Spfile: +MGMT/ORCL/PARAMETERFILE/spfile.308.945856625

Background process is also running.
