(Doc ID 2303933.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 04, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle Loader for Hadoop - Version 1.1.0 to 3.1.0 [Release 1.0 to 3.1]Linux x86-64
Symptoms
Oracle Loader for Hadoop versions less than 3.1.0 have an issue creating external tables in Hive after Sentry is enabled on a Mammoth cluster.
Access to hue, hive and impala works fine, but some Oracle Shell for Hadoop Loaders (OHSH) jobs do not.
OHSH is installed at the database end and retrieves dmp files from an Oracle Database and loads it into HDFS.
Symptoms of this issue are that at the end of the OHSH load a hive external table is created but the following error is raised:
Changes
This issue is seen when Sentry is enabled on a Mammoth cluster.
This occurs since the "impersonation" of hive is disabled. The reason for this is that Sentry installations require that impersonation be disabled.
