Oracle Text System Tables DR# Are Growing Unexpectedly

Symptoms

On a "My_Page" partitioned table with CLOB "XML_TEXT" field.
There is a LOCAL CTXSYS.CONTEXT index on the field.
There are automatically generated tables DR#MY_PAGE_XML_TEXTXXXX$R, where XXXX is some automatically generated number.
The LOB segments of the tables are growing unexpectedly.
