Mysqlsh - DBA.CONFIGURELOCALINSTANCE Adds MYISAM, CSV To Disabled Storage Engines (Doc ID 2309681.1)

Last updated on MARCH 17, 2019

Applies to:

MySQL Enterprise Backup - Version 4.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When provisioning InnoDB Cluster nodes with MySQLSH ( at time of writing version 1.0.10 ), it will explicitly add the following line to my.cnf

disabled_storage_engines = MyISAM,BLACKHOLE,FEDERATED,CSV,ARCHIVE

As the engines are no longer available, then eg using MEB ( MYSQL ENTERPRISE BACKUP  ) on any of the nodes ( without disabling meb logging ) , will fail with an error similar to

This is due to MEB relying on CSV table type for its internal logging / meta data.
