Symptoms


After moving DB instance to different node in a cluster, unable to bring up the db, getting error as below:

SQL> startup pfile='/u02/app/oracle/product/12.1.0.2/fmwuat/dbs/initIDMUAT1.ora';
ORACLE instance started.

Total System Global Area 5368709120 bytes
Fixed Size 2935712 bytes
Variable Size 1854907488 bytes
Database Buffers 3506438144 bytes
Redo Buffers 4427776 bytes
ORA-00205: error in identifying control file, check alert log for more info

alert log entry:

ORA-00210: cannot open the specified control file
ORA-00202: control file: '+DC1_T/IDMUAT/CONTROLFILE/current.3268.932196863'
ORA-17503: ksfdopn:2 Failed to open file +DC1_T/IDMUAT/CONTROLFILE/current.3268.932196863
ORA-15260: permission denied on ASM disk group

Changes

 The database instance was moved from nodes 3 and 4 to node 1 and 2
