TAPE Backup Slower on ACFS compared to Local Filesystem
We are currently using ACFS filesystems on RAC server to take RMAN backup.
For RMAN backup, we are not seeing any issues, however, while we run the TAPE backup on ACFS, we are seeing the throughput compared to local filesystem is much slower. Which is causing TAPE backup to run for much much longer for bigger databases.
Based on our analysis done with TAPE backup team, bottleneck seems to be on ACFS side, where we are getting slow speed while copying the data to TAPE.
File transfer speed on Local file system - 65-70 MB/sec
File transfer speed on ACFS - 20-25 MB/Sec
