Symptoms
- MMON WORKER(M00X) process Errors with ORA-00060 deadlock error in alter log
- Deadlock is between MMON WORKER(M00X) and GATHER DB STATS JOB(J000)
- Also may see the Chain Signature in trace file like 'library cache lock'<='row cache lock' (cycle)
- The operation of MMON WORKER(M00X) likes "alter table <TABLE NAME> split partition...",and the split table maybe WRH$_XXX tables like WRH$_TABLESPACE_STAT, WRH$_DB_CACHE_ADVICE,WRH$_ACTIVE_SESSION_HISTORY etc.
- The operation of GATHER DB STATS JOB may be gather_database_stats_job_proc
