Goal

This document describes the procedure to restore a Single Server node of Oracle database from bare metal.These procedures should be followed only

1) in case both the local disks of the ODA server is failed OR

2) the root file system is corrupted OR

3) the clusterware cannot be brought up correctly on one of the nodes and cannot be recovered using the standard recovery procedures.

All the steps in this document can be implemented as an online operation with the surviving node is up and running. Ensure that the surviving node is working correctly prior to attempting the steps documented in this article.
