Audit Vault AVDF Backup Failing Since BP upgrade With Error java.lang.NullPointerException (Doc ID 2328662.1)

AVDF backups can change methodology depending on development improvements to the backup process. These are usually mentioned in the readme notes for the BP, they may not be prominent.

Symptoms

After Customer applied the bundle patch, errors were seen such as the follow in regards to the backup process.

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException
  at oracle.av.platform.server.backup.AVBackup.validateConfigs(AVBackup.java:461)
  at oracle.av.platform.server.backup.AVBackup.execScript(AVBackup.java:886)
  at oracle.av.platform.server.backup.AVBackup.main(AVBackup.java:1533)

Changes

 Bundle patch was applied to the environment
