The scan comes up using only one IP address although three IP addresses are assigned to it (Doc ID 2344224.1)

Symptoms

Trying to increase number of scan IP addresses to 3 from 1 fails. 

The scan continues to come up only with one IP address and "scan config scan" also only shows one IP address.

$ srvctl config scan shows only 1 IP address for scan

SCAN name: scan_for_the_cluster, Network: 1
Subnet IPv4: 10.xxx.xxx.0/255.xxx.255.0/<PUBLIC_INTERFACE>, static
Subnet IPv6:
SCAN 0IPv4 VIP: 10.xxx.xxx.217
SCAN VIP is enabled.
SCAN VIP is individually enabled on nodes:
SCAN VIP is individually disabled on nodes:

$ srvctl status scan

SCAN VIP scan1 is enabled
SCAN VIP scan1 is running on node <node2>

 

The nslookup shows three IP addresses

nslookup scan_for_the_cluster
Server: 192.x.x.x
Address: 192.x.x.x#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: scan_for_the_cluster.oracle.com
Address: 10.xxx.xxx.217, 10.xxx.xxx.218, 10.xxx.xxx.219
