Purpose

To discuss Advanced Queuing Asynchronous Notification.

Scope

To be used by anyone interested in concepts for AQ asynchronous notification.
It does not cover OCI AQ Notification nor asynchronous notification concepts.
It does not cover event based notifications.

In releases before 10.2, the Oracle Streams AQ notification feature was not supported for queues with names longer than 30 characters. This restriction no longer apply.
