Wrap Utility Is Not Obfuscating The PL/SQL Units With Editionable/Noneditionable Keyword (Doc ID 2354809.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

PL/SQL - Version 12.1.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Wrap utility is not obfuscating the PL/SQL unit when created with EDITIONABLE/NONEDITIONABLE clause. The generated .plb file is not in the wrapped/obfuscated format when the EDITIONABLE/NONEDITIONABLE keyword is used (.plb file looks same as original PL/SQL unit).

The behavior can be observed easily using below steps:

1) Store the below test function as test_func.sql.

2) Now try to obfuscate the unit using WRAP utility and check the .plb file.

wrap iname=test_func.sql
