18.1 Preplugin Backups

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Preplugin backups are backups taken of a non-CDB or a PDB before they are plugged into a new CDB. This document will discuss using preplugin backups including restore and recovery.
NOTE: This article will have examples of both a PDB (ORCLPDB) plugged into a new CDB and a non-CDB (V181) database plugged into a CDB as a PDB called NONCDB181
