Symptoms

DB was recently upgraded from 11gR2 to 12cR1 12.1.0.2.0.

Client connection is from sqlplus on Oracle Enterprise Linux 7.

ZFS Storage Appliance is being used AND Doc ID 2393108.1 has been followed but did not resolve the problem.
