Getting ORA-07445: [kmcgms()] Errors In Shared Server Processes When Using EM EXPRESS After BP or RU Applied (Doc ID 2363256.1)

Symptoms

After application of the latest BP or DBRU, in this case DATABASE JAN 2018 RELEASE UPDATE 12.2.0.1.180116,the following error occurs in shared server connections (S00x) when using EM EXPRESS as the SYS user:

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kmcgms()+7299] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x138] [PC:0x9C897E3] [Address not mapped to object] []

 

The stack trace is not very informative and contains little information in the stack, but will look similar to the following:

kmcgms <- opitsk <- opiino <- opiodr <- opirip <- opidrv <- sou2o <- opimai_real <- ssthrdmain <- main
