Data Recover Advisory is an Oracle database tool that automatically diagnose data failure, determine and present appropriate repair options and execute repair at user's request.

In RMAN command line Interface the Data recovery Advisory Commands are LIST FAILURE,ADVISE FAILURE,REPAIR FAILURE and CHANGE FAILURE.

In this Document we will cover Additional options Available in REPAIR command in 12.2

This document discusses how to  use the repair command  with different options datafile , pluggable database and untilscn option  which are  options introduced since 12.2.

This command does the Restore + Recovery + Online of the datafiles.

 

Please note unlike Advise Failure, this command will do an actual repair (Restore + Recovery of datafile/pdb/database) based on the syntax used.
