The main change associated with the upgrade to 220.127.116.11 is that the runInstaller is no longer used to do the upgrade. Instead, the upgrade is performed by creating a directory that will be a new Grid home and the gold image for the software distribution is unzipped into the directory. There are a number of advantages to this strategy, especially the ability to patch prior to setting up the software, and ultimately create a gold image of the patched up distribution that can be utilized in other upgrades.
