Symptoms

When running Listener Control (lsnrctl) from the Oracle (RDBMS) Home, "no listener" error results despite remote connections working through a listener:


Notice that the directory structure shows "grid" as well.
This is not just a RAC environment, but any environment that employs GRID and has HA capabilities.
