After drop database (INCLUDING DATAFILES),the file group not dropping (Doc ID 2390764.1)

Symptoms

 The file group of FLEX DiskGroup is not dropping after drop database (INCLUDING DATAFILES).

 

For example

1.before drop database, the status of the file group

~$ asmcmd lsfg
File Group Disk Group Quota Group Used Quota MB Client Name Client Type
DEFAULT_FILEGROUP FLEXDG GENERIC 0
<DB_NAME>_CDB$ROOT FLEXDG GENERIC 4920 <DB_NAME>_CDB$ROOT DATABASE<<<<<<DB_NAME>_PDB$SEED FLEXDG GENERIC 1552 <DB_NAME>_PDB$SEED DATABASE<<<<<<DB_NAME>_PDB FLEXDG GENERIC 1744 <DB_NAME>_PDB DATABASE<<<<<

 

2.drop database

SQL> DROP PLUGGABLE DATABASE <DB_NAME>_pdb INCLUDING DATAFILES;
Pluggable database dropped.

SQL> drop database;
Database dropped.

 

3.After drop database, the status of the file group

$ asmcmd lsfg
File Group Disk Group Quota Group Used Quota MB Client Name Client Type
DEFAULT_FILEGROUP FLEXDG GENERIC 0
<DB_NAME>_CDB$ROOT FLEXDG GENERIC 0 <DB_NAME>_CDB$ROOT DATABASE<<<<<<<the file group is not dropped
<DB_NAME>_PDB$SEED FLEXDG GENERIC 0 <DB_NAME>_PDB$SEED DATABASE<<<<<<<the file group is not dropped
<DB_NAME>_PDB FLEXDG GENERIC 0 <DB_NAME>_PDB DATABASE<<<<<<<the file group is not dropped
