Symptoms

You are using Oracle Database Gateway for SQL Server (DG4MSQL) to connect to SQL Server.

A change to SQL Server ciphers results in an ORA-28500 error when using the Oracle Gateway:

ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
[Oracle][ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol driver]Socket closed. {08S01}

[Oracle][ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol driver]SSL Handshake Failure reason [error:140A4044:SSL routines:SSL_clear:internal error]. {08001,NativeErr = 7570}
ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from DB_LINK




Changes

 SQL Server ciphers were changed.
