Symptoms

After fully disabling On-Disk encryption from a cluster, such that running mount_hadoop_dirs is no longer required, Step 1 of Mammoth upgrade fails as below:

WARNING: The password for disk encryption is missing from the parameters file and is required for the installation.

INFO: Executing verifyDiskEncPasswd.sh on nodes /opt/oracle/BDAMammoth/bdaconfig/tmp/all_nodes #Step 1#
ERROR: Error code 1 when executing verifyDiskEncPasswd.sh on host bdanode01 #Step 1#
ERROR: Error is : Info: Check the system log for more information from libecryptfs #Step 1#
...
ERROR: Error code 1 when executing verifyDiskEncPasswd.sh on host bdanode0n #Step 1#
ERROR: Error is : Info: Check the system log for more information from libecryptfs #Step 1#

It is also found that bdacli reports that on-disk encryption is enabled.
