While there is evidence that this may be a generic problem found on Engineered Systems we can not confirm this at this time.
The issue is exclusive to Engineered Systems or any system which connects to a server / target through the ILOM to collect EM metric data.
This issue is not found in generic EM agent / target configurations that do not connect through the ILOM to collect EM metric data.
- The Engineered systems login for EM appears to be failing when logging into the ILOM.
- An underlying factor is that Engineered Systems EM plugin connects via the ILOM to the system using ipmitool commands.
OEM incident manager reporting repeats the message "Metric evaluation error start - oracle.sysman.emSDK.agent.fetchlet.exception.FetchletException:
The current status of the target:
- "Status Pending"
and eventually followed by
- "Connectivity to the ILOM server has been restored"
In a RAC configuration the messages can be isolated to one node, a combination of nodes or potentially all nodes.
