Silent Install with oracle.install.option=INSTALL_DB_AND_CONFIG option did not create the listener (Doc ID 2404841.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If you specify the oracle.install.option=INSTALL_DB_AND_CONFIG option in the response file,
and use this response file to execute the silent installation.

After silent install finished, you may find that the listener.ora is not configurated in %ORACLE_HOME%\network\admin,
and in installActions logs you may find that the following messages are outputted.

Warning: Skipping line: Profile configuration completed.
Information: Read: Listener exception: Could not save next listener: TNS-04414: File error occurred
Information: Listener exception: Failed to save next listener: TNS-04414: File error occurred
Warning: Skipping line: Listener exception: Could not save the listener: TNS-04414: File error occurred
Information: Read: caused by: TNS-04605: Invalid syntax error: (PROGRAM = previously unexpected character or literal "("
Information: caused by: TNS-04605: Invalid syntax error: (PROGRAM = previously unexpected character or literal "(" is present
Warning: Skipping line: caused by: TNS-04605: Invalid syntax error: (PROGRAM = previously unexpected character or literal "("


The Command used to execute silent install:

setup.exe -showProgress -waitforcompletion -silent -debug -responseFile C:\Install_Database_SW_and_DB.rsp
