Archived Rows Are Visible In The PL/SQL Code (Doc ID 2409429.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 18, 2019

Applies to:

PL/SQL - Version 12.1.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While using In-Database row archival feature (ORA_ARCHIVE_STATE) to archive rows. When you query from PL/SQL procedure/function/package, these rows are still visible. Below test case will demonstrate the issue.

1) Create a temporary table and insert some rows for testing.

We can clearly see that the archived rows are still visible in the PL/SQL. However the cursor fetch, bulk fetch, DBMS_SQL does not show archived rows.

Changes
