Installing Big Data SQL on One ORACLE_HOME on a Single non-Exadata Database Server with Two ORACLE_HOMEs Prevents the Other ORACLE_HOME from Starting

In the case of 2 ORACLE_HOMEs installed on a single non-Exadata Database server where Big Data SQL is installed in one ORACLE_HOME, the other instance can not start. The other instance can not start even with the latest PSU applied. Instead errors like below are raised:
USER (<USER>): terminating the instance due to error 29702
System state dump requested by (instance=1, osid=<OSID> (<DSKM> ), summary=[abnormal instance termination].
System State dumped to trace file /<PATH_TO_TRACE_FILES>/<ID>_diag_<ID>_<timestamp>.trc
