Errors In The Alert Log: ORA-7445[memcpy()+2436] (Doc ID 2416874.1)

Symptoms

The following error occurs in the alert log:

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [memcpy()+2436] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0xFFFFFFFF77BF0000] [PC:0xFFFFFFFF7A700FB8] [Address not mapped to object] []

 

The error occurred during an INSERT into a table that has an SDO_GEOMETRY column and a Spatial index on it.

 

 The Call Stack Trace in the associated incident trace file shows:
