Starting Oracle Database Provider for DRDA from root user is not supported (Doc ID 2421123.1)

Symptoms

Below are symptoms received while starting Oracle Database Provider for DRDA.

root@ely02mon admin]# tail drdaas.ora
# Sample DRDA AS configuration file
drdaas.data_port=ely02mon:1446
drdaas.rdb_map=RDB(DRDAAS)->TNS(orcl)
drdaas.protoproc_trace="ALL/ERROR/NOTIMESTAMP"
drdaas.identity=ZOS


[root@ely02mon bin]# ./tnsping orcl

Used parameter files:

Used TNSNAMES adapter to resolve the alias
Attempting to contact (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = nCARDT1.zbo)(PORT = 1521))) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = TPCARD12)))

[root@ely02mon bin]# ./drdactl start drdaas
CMD> start drdaas
