Symptoms

ORA-07445 [kksHeapFreeCbk()+36] [SIGSEGV] has occurred at a final step of shutdown as seen in the alertlog:

Shutting down instance (immediate)
Stopping background process SMCO
Shutting down instance: further logons disabled
Stopping background process QMNC

ALTER DATABASE CLOSE NORMAL

Completed: ALTER DATABASE CLOSE NORMAL
ALTER DATABASE DISMOUNT
