Encrypted tablespaces cannot be archived in non-upgraded AVDF 12.2 environment (Doc ID 2422587.1)

Last updated on JULY 18, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall - Version 12.2.0.3 to 12.2.0.4 [Release 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running an archive job of encrypted tablespace which are in offline periods, archive job is successfully completed but archiving is failed by following error.

Tablespace AV_ILM_0572_0578 is not yet encrypted. Please try again after running avdf_data_encryption.sh script.

Also, [Settings] - [Repository Encryption] - [Tablespace and Encryption Status] in Web console shows this tablespace as Encryption Status is "NO".

However, DBA_TABLESPACES shows as this tablespace is already encrypted.

SQL> select TABLESPACE_NAME, ENCRYPTED from dba_tablespaces order by 1;

TABLESPACE_NAME                               ENC

--------------------------------------------- ---
      :
AV_ILM_0572_0578                              YES

This env is not upgraded from AVDF 12.1.x. In AVDF 12.2 (non-upgraded env), all of tablespaces are encrypted as a default, hence the results of DBA_TABLESPACES is correct.

ILM patch cannot help this case.
