Goal

Making an Rdb standby database become the primary database

The case study used to write this article assumes that the server for the primary database has crashed and will not be available for many hours. The standby database must become the new primary database. When the server node is once again available the old primary database becomes the new standby database. The current standby database is closed at the moment.
