Purpose

 Provide an example of installing and configuring IBM Spectrum Scale cluster file systems such that they can be used to contain Oracle datafiles, archive logs and redo files. We will show configuration using a 4-node cluster with each node running the Linux SLES 12.3 operating system. Where there is a difference between SLES and Red Hat configuration, we will describe this difference.

Note: Please be aware that Oracle OCR and voting disks are only accessible by CRS from ASM storage or NFS. The backing storage for NFS can be EXT2, EXT3, XFS, GPFS or other support-ed storage types.
