'InnoDB Semaphores - Data (Individual)' in "Timeseries Graphs" doesn't show at MySQL 5.7 and MySQL 8.0 (Doc ID 2438010.1)

Last updated on MAY 28, 2019

Applies to:

MySQL Enterprise Monitor - Version 3.4 to 8.0 [Release 3.0 to 8.0]
MySQL Server - Version 5.7 to 5.7 [Release 5.7]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

MySQL Enterprise Monitor collects data series named "mutex spin waits", "spin rounds" and "os wait" for graph "InnoDB Semaphores - Data (Individual)" from the "SHOW ENGINE INNODB STATUS" command output. However, "SEMAPHORES" section output format in "SHOW ENGINE INNODB STATUS" was changed as of MySQL 5.7.8. The same change is introduced to MySQL 8.0 series, too. Due to this change, MySQL Enterprise Monitor cannot collect "SEMAPHORES" section data series from this command.

If you encounter this problem, you will not see the following graph on the service manager UI. The graph will be missing.
