Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Standard Edition - Version 12.2.0.1 to 12.2.0.1 [Release 12.2]
Generic Windows

Symptoms

NOTE! This note is only applicable to Windows Platform.

Pre-existing database's file permissions are modified by DBCA when creating a new database via DBCA, hence the pre-existing database can't be started due to permission issue.

After fixing the permission issue for all the following directories/files, database can be started. However, the database can not be started automatically when Windows OS reboot.
