Purpose
This Note presents a list of parameters that are not supported on OpenVMS.
Scope
Unsupport Parameter Information
Most of the parameters that are unsupported on OpenVMS were created for operating
systems that do not utilize asynchronous I/O. The default values provided by Oracle
for these parameters may not be correct for the OpenVMS platform. Please use the
SHOW PARAMETER command in Server Manager or SQL*Plus (depending on the Oracle
version you're using) to see the current values for these parameters in your
database. You may need to add these parameters to your instance parameter file
(INIT.ORA or SPFILE) in order to have the correct values for OpenVMS.
