Hive Service Logs Are Not Getting Written To HiveServer2 and Hive Metastore Logs (Doc ID 2456774.1)

Symptoms

Have observed that the HiveServer2 and Hive Metastore logs are not getting written even though the hive services behave normally for all the application requests. The last logging happened some time back.

Have tried to restart the complete hive services even then there was no update to HiveServer2 and Hive Metastore logs.

Tried to regenerate the credentials for hive kerberos principal and then restarted the hive service, still there was no update to HiveServer2 and Hive Metastore logs.
