Symptoms

RMAN command fails with error:

RMAN-03002: failure of crosscheck command at 10/18/2018 02:47:47
ORA-00904: "DC"."GUID": invalid identifier


Example:

1)

RMAN> crosscheck backup;
using target database control file instead of recovery catalog
allocated channel: ORA_DISK_1
channel ORA_DISK_1: SID=216 device type=DISK
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
