SELECT = Error in the Alert Log: ORA-7445[ktein_assign_range()+110] (Doc ID 2467608.1)

Symptoms

The following error occurred in the alert log:

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [ktein_assign_range()+110] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x7FFC520BAFE0] [PC:0x14F097E] [Address not mapped to object] []

 

The Current SQL Statement in the associated incident trace file shows:

SELECT USER1.REQUEST_ID FROM REQUEST_TABLE TAB1 WHERE TAB1.REQUEST_ID_ENCRYPTED = :B1 AND ROWNUM < 2

In this case, the error occurred consistently when the query was launched via PLSQL.
