Create Global Temporary Tables On Active Data Guard 18c Reports ORA-16000 (Doc ID 2471571.1)

Symptoms

When trying to create GTT on Active Data Guard in Oracle 18c getting following error:


SQL> CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE <table_name> (col1 number, col2 varchar(10)) ON COMMIT PRESERVE ROWS;
CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE <table_name> (col1 number, col2 varchar(10)) ON COMMIT PRESERVE ROWS
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-16000: database or pluggable database open for read-only access


The necessary parameter temp_undo_enabled is TRUE.
