Queries May Fail with ORA-7445 [kkssct] or PLSQL May Fail with PLS-00801 [ph2csql_strdef_to_diana:Bind] when Tables with XMLTYPE are Involved (Doc ID 2486554.1)

Symptoms

When PL/SQL code or SQL queries reference the same bind variable name more than once and a table with XMLTYPE columns is involved, an internal error may result.

If all of the following conditions are true:

     1) A PL/SQL block or SQL query that involves tables with XMLTYPE columns and bind variables is being executed
     2) The bind variables use the same name at more than one place in the PL/SQL block or SQL query
     3) One of the following errors is observed:

PLS-00801 [ph2csql_strdef_to_diana:Bind]
ORA-7445 [kkssct]

then the issue addressed in this Note may be the cause.

Note also that the call stack for the ORA-7445 [kkssct] error may look similar to the following:
