Rman duplicate Failure Of Clone After 12.2 Upgrades (Doc ID 2489002.1)

Symptoms

Rman duplicate  from Prod to non Prod which has been working fine until 12.2 upgrade,After the upgrade it is hanging and  failing with the below error

Channel ORA_AUX_DISK_12: piece handle=/<path>/level_1_df_h9tf8i8q_80425_20181009 tag=LEVEL_1
channel ORA_AUX_DISK_12: restored backup piece 1
channel ORA_AUX_DISK_12: restore complete, elapsed time: 00:06:08

Executing: alter database datafile 203 offline drop

Target database was restarted by the clone process hung and terminated every time.
