Mysqld Crashed and Cannot be Restarted: Cluster Version 7.5 (Doc ID 2495019.1)

Last updated on MARCH 02, 2020

Applies to:

MySQL Cluster - Version 7.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Documented fix as follows in the NDB 7.5.14, 7.6.10, and 8.0.16 changelogs:

After a commit failed due to an error, mysqld shut down
unexpectedly while trying to get the name of the table involved.
This was due to an issue in the internal function
ndbcluster_print_error().

Goal

To highlight a scenario whereby the error is seen in a 7.5.X ( prior to 7.5.14 ) which causes an irrecoverable mysqld crash in a cluster enviornment API node.

No workaround exists for this specific defect , so the only possible fix is to upgrade.
