OCSSD Reports "clssnmvDiskVerify: TOC format mismatch expected(0x634c7373 0x546f636b), found(0x0000 0x0000) " on ASMLIB With 4K Sector Size Disks (Doc ID 2508243.1)

Symptoms

 

o Two node cluster, One node is up and running but the second node fails to start

o Environment is having 512e disks, and originally the ASM diskgroups were created with 4k sector size.

o Dumping the Voting File (VF) signature using kfed and dd confirms the VF structures are found in the voting files.

o ASMLIB was configured properly with ORACLEASM_USE_LOGICAL_BLOCK_SIZE=true

o ocssd log (inside <ORACLE_BASE>/diag/crs/<HOSTNAME>/crs/trace location) is reporting:
