HP-UX: HAIP Address Not Failing Back After a Failover
(Doc ID 2508463.1)
Last updated on JANUARY 06, 2020
Applies to:Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 220.127.116.11 and later
The cluster uses two private interfaces - <lan1> and <lan2>
The lan2 interface was brought down for maintenance. As expected, the HAIP on <lan2> got failed over to <lan1>, so <lan1> has two HAIP (169.254.*.*) addresses assigned to it.
After the maintenance, the interface <lan2> was brought up. But, the HAIP still remained in <lan1>, instead of failing over to <lan2>. This is resulting in cluster/instance crashes.
