Enabling MIT Kerberos Fails to Create Principals on BDA 4.5 (Doc ID 2510214.1)

Symptoms

Enabling MIT Kerberos on a BDA Cluster by following, Instructions to Enable Kerberos on Oracle Big Data Appliance with Mammoth V3.1/V4.* Release (Doc ID 1919445.1), fails as below: 

2. Checking principals with kadmin.local shows a very limited number of prinicapls exist.

For example logging into kadmin.local and checking for principals with "listprincs" returns a total of about 8 principals.  No principals are created for any of the hdfs services nor for most of the cluster hosts.
